NBA All Star Weekend 2011
The NBA officially announced the Eastern Conference and Western Conference starters for the 2011 NBA All-Star Game on Thursday.
For the Eastern Conference: Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade, Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose, Miami Heat forward LeBron James, New York Knicks forward Amar’e Stoudemire, and Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard.
For the Western Conference: New Orleans Hornets guard Chris Paul, Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant, Denver Nuggets forward Carmelo Anthony, Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant and Houston Rockets Yao Ming.
Of the 10 names selected, there were no real surprises, as all had established themselves fairly strongly during the balloting process. The biggest snubs? For the East: probably Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo, although Rose is difficult to argue. For the West: Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki should be there, as should every center that actually played more than five games this season.
Bryant was the leading vote-getter for the Western Conference; Howard was the leading vote-getter for the Eastern Conference.
Here’s a look at the jerseys this year’s All-Stars will be wearing.
The 2011 All-Star game will be played in Los Angeles, California, at the Staples Center on February 20.

Brock gets Rocked!!!
Last Saturday Brock got smashed on. He was all humble after the fight, saying dude just “whipped his ass basically”. Welp, it was a valiant run Brock, but maybe you should stay away from the cage now. That real fighter had you looking like a fool.
UFC 104 Results (10/24/09) – Machida (16-0) vs. Shogun (18-4)
Ear Punch.
In a five round bout that got closer most would’ve anticipated, Lyoto Machida defeated Mauricio “Shogun” Rua at UFC 104 when the fight went to the scorecards. The throw-down occurred at the Los Angeles Staples Center. Even though the above photo shows Rua as the aggressor, Machida pulled out the win. I only posted this photo ’cause I thought the nigga Rua shoulda won too. The win allowed Machida to retain his light heavyweight championship, which he won from Rashad Evans, when he dropped em’ and made him do the stanky-leg….Machida’s win Saturday was largely contested by many fans who thought Rua fought well enough for the win and booed the judge’s decision.

Man, with all teh changes in the NBA going down this summer, its reminiscent of a fantasy draft on the XBox360. My thing is, my team Cleveland got 66 wins last season without the “Big Entrepreneur” or whatever Big Shaq is calling himself these days. The acquisition can’t make them any worse for the wear right? Shouts out to Kobe and nem’ for getting Ron – Ron too….that should go towards a repeat really…
Also in MMA news…Bobby Lashley beat the shit out of Bob Sapp in one his first real bouts. Who said wrestler couldn’t scrap…
I like Mixed Martial Arts as much as the next man, but damn, I think they’re giving these dudes too much free time in between fights. I mean, hosting shows, coaching teams, promoting albums…..and now this, from one sir Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, as he displays what the Rampage would be like “unleashed” Check him out around the 30 second mark, truly has to be one of the most uncomfortable interviews ever, I would assume….Quinton still a beast tho. I’m not talkin’ shit holmes, just thought this was a funny viral clip. Hurr’s the link, until I can figure videos in my post….
